Event registration, mandatory equipment checks, race briefing, and the start/finish will all occur at Race Headquarters (HQ). It is compulsory that all teams members attend the registration and briefing.

At registration you will receive the course notes, maps and important safety information for the event.  You will then start planning your route and strategy.

Car parking, toilets and water will be also available at HQ.

The location of HQ will be in the Noosa Hinterland – and the 2019 event was held at the beautiful Habitat Noosa.  2020 HQ Location TBC.

This camping/glamping resort has had a major renovation over the last year or so and is a really great place to spend some time before or after our event.

Habitat Noosa is offering participants and families a 10% discount off normal rack rates on either their Wilderness Glamping Tents or their Luxury Paperbark Glamping Tents so make sure when you book you mention that you are part of the event. Of course there is also just the regular tent camping which is reasonably priced starting at $33 per night for 2 people.

The best thing about Habitat Noosa (we think) is that they now have the brand new CootharaBAR on site – and here you will be able to purchase a post race meal with a glass of wine or a beer from their Eco Brewing Company. It’s a great place to relax and wind down after you have well and truly earnt your rewards at the Wild Women event!

The Sunshine Coast is one of Australia’s favourite tourist destinations, with people travelling from all over Australia and the world to enjoy the Sunshine Coast’s beautiful beaches and wonderful weather … and what a great destination to host an all-women’s adventure race, as there is so much for friends, family to do before, during or after the event if you choose to stay a while.

The Sunshine Coast is approximately 1 hour’s drive, north of Brisbane.  The Headquarters for WWAR will be located within a 45 minute drive from the Sunshine Coast Airport. Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin provide daily flights directly from Melbourne and Sydney.
